Retirement Program Associate Service Advisor

Pacific Portfolio is hiring for a Retirement Program Associate Service Advisor whose primary role is to support the Senior Advisor for a diverse group of clients. This position requires a broad understanding of investment management practices and 401(k) retirement plans. The person filing this role will work with one or more senior advisors and client portfolio administrators to help increase the value of our client’s time.
Focus
Participates in the retention of existing clients, including assisting in the preparation and presentation, client service, administrative and operation functions for assigned institutional client.
Assists and supports business development efforts
Responsibilities
Perform client or issue specific analysis and research in support of the Firm’s advisors and facilitate operational management of client relationships as assigned
Act as a liaison between Pacific Portfolio, its clients and other service providers to build relationships and acquire information tailored to client-specific projects and needs
Maintain contact with clients and other service providers to provide or obtain updated information
Respond to administrative client queries
Plan, organize, prioritize, and perform all tasks related to the production and distribution of institutional clients’ investment statements and reports.
Perform tasks related to manager searches, fund and model changes, account reconciliation, trade checks, correspondence, and other activities as needed
Meet with clients on a quarterly basis, or as needed, to review investment manager and portfolio performance and present appropriate recommendations.
Preparation and assisting with client meetings for investment reviews, plan reviews, participant education/enrollment, updating plan documents, etc.
Assist in coordinating retirement plan service provider search, selection and monitoring, including recordkeepers and third-party administrators as necessary
Oversee and participate in projects designed to improve efficiency and new product offering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Series 65 within 90 days of hire
Minimum of three (3) years of finance experience
Demonstrated experience in effective account/relationship management
Knowledgeable in ERISA regulations and fiduciary responsibilities pertaining to retirement plans
Wiling to obtain a Professional designation (i.e., CFP, QKA, QFPC, CRSP)
Ability to foster teamwork and motivate colleagues
